The Stable Cottages and Wine Bar

The Stable Cottages are 6 beautifully appointed East Cape Country Style cottages only 8km from main entrance to the Addo Elephant National Park.

Being very "family friendly" (no charge for children under 4yrs, cots and baby sitters available) we have designed two of the cottages to be "family units" – these have a separate inter leading room for the kids.

All of the beautifully appointed cottages are spacious and have private verandas, comfortable sitting areas, mini bars, safes, as well as air conditioning and heating. There is a large (12m) swimming pool in the grounds for exclusive use by Stable Cottage guests.

The Cottages offer King size extra length beds and are surrounded by 4 hectares of rolling lawns.

Breakfast, lunch and dinners available in the trendy "Wine Bar & Café".

The Wine Bar & Café offers a trendy, but casual, country dining experience –supplemented by a small, but select wine list offering some of the Cape’s finest!

Come and read the morning papers with a cup of Illy coffee or cappuccino, then after a game drive a long lazy lunch with G&T’s and chilled Sauvignon Blanc on the veranda, then with your evening dinner reflect on yet another great day in Africa, it’s a place of wholesome farm food, good conversation, fine wines and classic memories!

The Wine bar & Café is an ideal venue for special occasions like WEDDINGS – we can put a marquee over the courtyard, and of course great accommodation available for your guests in the cottages.

We can book a variety of activities in the area, these include:

1. Game drives into Addo and Schotia
2. Valley and township tours
3. Elephant Back safaris
4. Quad biking
5. Canoeing on the river (great birding!)
6. Horse trails in Addo
7. Helicopter trip to the beach
