Establishment description: Location Sefapane Lodge & Safaris exists for 20 years and is situated next to the Phalaborwa gate of the Kruger National Park. The lodge The lodge is on a beautiful parcel of unspoiled bushveld, with dense and abundant gardens and 4 dams. It has an ‘African style’ combined with luxury, which gives you a home away from home feeling as well as a great ‘bush’ experience. Sefapane Lodge and Safaris is proudly hosted on TravelKids. The thatched roof African style rondavels are situated under shady trees. They are fitted with air-conditioning, en-suite bathroom with hairdryer, kitchenette, cable TV and wireless internet. We also have 18 excellent luxury self-catering safari houses which have a spacious lounge with DStv and internet, fully equipped open plan kitchen, 2 bedrooms with en-suite bathroom, guest bathroom, a loft with 3rd bedroom and a private wooden deck. The house is in total 160m². The houses are situated around the dam, where there is brilliant birdlife. The safari houses are suitable for 4 to 10 persons. Next to 1 of our 2 splendid swimming pool is a sunken bar. The restaurant, with open kitchen, serves breakfasts, lunches and divine à la carte dinners. Our special kids program offers: the kids lounge, where children have fun, watch television, play games and can eat from the kiddies menu. There is a small petfarm and playground. Our Spa is decorated in a real African atmosphere and will give you an excellent relaxing experience through facials or massages. Besides that there is internet available, a laundry facility, safe parking, bar fridges, braais to rent, 24/7 reception and security. There is also a conference centre and we have a wedding venue.| Activities: Sefapane Lodge & Safaris organizes safaris within the Kruger National Park guided by experienced FGASA qualified guides and in special designed game viewing safari vehicles. Morning, day and evening safaris as well as the evening bush braais in the Kruger park, river safaris, bush walks and mountain-bike tours. We have day excursions to the Blyde River Canyon, an animal rehab centre and a cultural village tour. There are fishing options in our dam and bird watching options on our property. The well-known 18-holes Hans Merensky Golf Course plus the centre of Phalaborwa is only a few minutes’ drive away from Sefapane Lodge. Weddings: Get married in our lush tropical gardens, in our African style boma or on the middle of the Olifants River on a river boat. Directions: Johannesburg to Phalaborwa Via Tzaneen From Johannesburg take N1 to Pietersburg. From Pietersburg take R71, past Tzaneen and Gravelotte, to Phalaborwa. Follow the signs towards Kruger National Park Gate - Phalaborwa. After entering Phalaborwa, at the second set of traffic light, turn right. Sefapane Lodge is situated on the right-hand side 200 metres on. Distance : approx. 500 km Time : approx. 5 hrs Via Blyde River Canyon (Panorama Route) From Johannesburg take N12 to Witbank. Continue on the N4 and turn off at Belfast (R540), via Dullstroom to Lydenburg. Take preferred route Long Tom Pass towards Sabie (R37) via Graskop through Blyde River Canyon (R532). Follow the Abel Erasmus pass, through the Strydom Tunnel in the direction of Hoedspruit. Take turnoff PhalaborwaTzaneen (R36) and the first turnoff to Mica (R526). Continue north, past Mica (R40), to Phalaborwa. Follow the signs towards Kruger National Park Gate - Phalaborwa. After entering Phalaborwa, at the second traffic light, turn right. Sefapane Lodge & Safaris is situated on the right-hand side 200 metres on. Distance : approx. 550 km Time : approx. 6 hrs People travelling via air transport will be fetched free of charge from the Phalaborwa airport and transferred to Sefapane Lodge. |
